Understanding Your Campaign Reports

Learn how to use the AI DASH Dashboard and reporting views to understand your campaign performance

Written by STARTI AI

AI DASH gives you several ways to monitor and evaluate advertising performance.

Start with the Dashboard for a high-level view across your campaigns, then use the Campaign, Creative, and Inventory reports to explore performance in more detail.

This guide explains what you can find in each reporting view and what the available metrics mean

Dashboard

The Dashboard gives you a quick real-time overview of performance across all campaigns. Use it to check your key metrics, review performance trends over time, and identify areas you may want to explore further in your reports.

At the top of the Dashboard, you can see:

Metric

Description

Impressions

The total number of times your ads were served during the selected time period.

Amount spent

The total amount spent on ad delivery during the selected time period.

Results

The total number of attributed results generated by your campaigns. The exact result depends on the conversion event configured for each campaign.

CPM

The average cost per 1,000 impressions. CPM = Amount spent ÷ Impressions × 1,000.

The performance chart below the summary metrics helps you see how performance changes over the selected time period. Use the date selector in the upper-right corner to adjust the reporting period.

For a more detailed breakdown, use the reporting views in the Report section of AI DASH.

Reporting views

AI DASH provides three reporting views to help you analyze performance at different levels:

Report

What it helps you understand

Campaign

How brands and individual campaigns are performing

Creative

How individual creatives are performing

Inventory

Where your ads are being delivered and how each inventory source performs

For example, if a campaign has a higher-than-expected Cost per result, you can open the Creative Report to compare the creatives running within that campaign, then use the Inventory Report to review performance across different media inventory.

Note: All reports display data in the UTC+0 timezone.

This helps you understand where differences in performance are coming from and where to look next.

Campaign Report

The Campaign Report provides a brand- and campaign-level view of your advertising performance. By default, performance is displayed by Brand and Campaign. Use this report to compare campaigns, review performance across countries, and understand how efficiently each campaign is generating results.

Metric

Description

Brand

The brand associated with the reported campaign.

Campaign

The name of the campaign associated with the reported performance.

Country

The country targeted by the campaign.

Impression

The number of times your ad was served. Each eligible ad delivery counts as one impression.

Result

The number of results attributed to the campaign. The exact result depends on the conversion event configured for the campaign, such as an install, purchase, signup, or another tracked action.

Spend

The total amount spent on ad delivery during the selected reporting period.

CPM (Cost per mille)

The average cost per 1,000 impressions. CPM = Spend ÷ Impressions × 1,000.

Cost per result

The average amount spent to generate one attributed result. Cost per result = Spend ÷ Results.

A lower Cost per result means less spend was required, on average, to generate each attributed result. When comparing performance, consider it together with campaign goals, delivery volume, and other relevant metrics.

Creative Report

The Creative Report helps you compare the performance of individual creatives used across your campaigns. Along with standard delivery and result metrics, supported video creatives include playback metrics that show how far viewers watched the video. Use these metrics to compare creative performance and understand how viewers engage with your video ads.

Metric

Description

Creative

The name of the creative associated with the reported performance.

Impression

The number of times the creative was served.

Result

The number of attributed results associated with the creative.

Spend

The total amount spent delivering the creative during the selected reporting period.

CPM

The average cost per 1,000 impressions. CPM = Spend ÷ Impressions × 1,000.

Cost per result

The average amount spent to generate one attributed result. Cost per result = Spend ÷ Results.

Video Started

The number of times the video started playing.

25%

The number of video plays that reached at least 25% of the video's duration.

50%

The number of video plays that reached at least 50% of the video's duration.

75%

The number of video plays that reached at least 75% of the video's duration.

Completed

The number of video plays that reached the end of the video.

Completed Rate

The percentage of video starts that reached completion. Completed Rate = Completed ÷ Video Started × 100%.

eCPCV

Effective Cost per Completed View. It represents the average spend for each completed video view. eCPCV = Spend ÷ Completed.

Note: eCPCV is displayed to three decimal places to provide greater precision for low-cost completed views.

Inventory Report

The Inventory Report shows performance based on the media inventory where your ads were delivered. Use this report to understand which apps, channels, and other inventory sources are contributing to campaign delivery and results.

By default, inventory entries are sorted by Spend in descending orde, helping you quickly identify where most of your budget is being delivered. Each inventory entry may include the inventory name and its corresponding media ID. You can also search by media ID to quickly locate a specific inventory source.

Metric

Description

Inventory

The media inventory where your ad was delivered, such as a streaming app, TV channel, or other supported media environment.

Impression

The number of impressions delivered on the inventory.

Result

The number of attributed results associated with impressions delivered on the inventory.

Spend

The total amount spent on the inventory during the selected reporting period.

CPM

The average cost per 1,000 impressions delivered on the inventory. CPM = Spend ÷ Impressions × 1,000.

Cost per result

The average amount spent to generate one attributed result on the inventory. Cost per result = Spend ÷ Results. If no results are recorded, this metric may not be available.

Video Started

The number of times a video ad started playing on the inventory.

It represents the average spend for each completed video view on the inventory. eCPCV = Spend ÷ Completed.

Using filters

You can narrow your reporting data using the filters available at the top of each report.

Depending on the reporting view, available filters may include:

  • Time period

  • Brand

  • Campaign

  • Country

  • Creative

  • Creative type

The data displayed in the report updates based on the filters you select.

All reporting data is displayed in the UTC+0 timezone, including the selected reporting period.

You can also select Export CSV to download the currently displayed reporting data for further analysis.

A note about Results and attribution

Results represent conversions attributed to your advertising based on the tracking configuration associated with your campaigns.

The exact meaning of a Result depends on the campaign goal and the conversion event being measured. For example, a Result may represent an app install, purchase, signup, or another tracked action. For campaigns using web or app measurement, reported results also depend on the corresponding tracking and attribution setup.

For more information about configuring measurement, see the relevant Web Pixel or App Tracking guide.
